About The Event

Dr Butch Levy is an integrative medical physician with thirty years practice and experience in Chinese Medicine. His education was initially in TCM but his clinical approach has been in its Japanese perspective; based on his decades of mentorship with Dr Miki Shima.

While the Chinese Medicine paradigm is foundational to all of our practices, this seminar is designed to present its applications from the Japanese perspective. It will include didactic discussions, but as importantly, practitioners will have multiple opportunities to practice the techniques discussed. And finally, patients will be presented, evaluated, and treated to provide a deeper clinical integration of the concepts taught.

Topics will include Japanese needling techniques and unique pulse interpretations for the Extra Vessels. Practical and clinically relevant approaches to the Eight Extra Vessels and Channel Divergents will allow an understanding of these deeper pathways of the web. A basic primer on the Kampo herbal exam and the associated principle herbs for treatment will round out the seminar.

The goal of this two day program is to move from the seminar room to your clinic with enhanced skills for treatment.
